A New Groove

The balance between electronic and traditional dance music is here with this new album by Perpetual e-Motion.  Ed Howe and John Cote come together to form this power duo of electric fiddle, synth guitar, didgeridoo, foot percussion, with the masterful use of live sound technology.  Inspired by the “new groove” of the modern and an appreciation for the tradition, there is nothing like seeing these two artists create a masterpiece on stage live, but this new album is close.

There is no doubt, my favorite track in “Flying Tent”, a modern tune by Keith Murphy.  With its driving melody and innovative chord progressions, this tune is sure to be a modern classic, but Perpetual e-Motion has taken it to a whole new level.  From the first track to the last track, this album showcases the extremes and everything in between..  ”Diversity” and “Versatility” are two words that come to mind.  Did I mention there are great vocals too??  My one compliant is that I wish the vocals were a little louder.  Check this new album out at www.perpetuale-motion.com.  You will be listening to it over and over and over again :)
