Shining Through The Double Apex

I’m sorry, I haven’t update my blog in a while.  I have been wanting to share some thoughts and pictures about my recent gig at the Concord Scout House, but haven’t had the time.  Here it is.  On December 6, 2010, I took the stage with Double Apex, Brendan Carey-Block and Julie Vallimont at the Concord Scout House in Concord, MA.  Brendan Carey-Block of Matching Orange and Julie Vallimont of Nor’easter come together to form this new power duo, and yes techno is their thing.  Photo above by Steph Hodge.

Bringing modern technology to the stage, they use a combination of computers, processors, and synthesizers to bring together their live performances with pre-recorder samples to form the next evolution.  When the driving beats of techno music meet the melodies of fiddle tunes, you get something nothing short of amazing.  It was a pleasure to take the stage with Brendan and Julie for their debut performance.  I look forward to working with them in the future, but until then, check them out on Facebook, www.facebook.com/double-apex.
